Hi, I’m Sara! I’m the curious mind behind Cerebral Snacks and Sara’s Bloody Seasoning. I live in Wichita, KS with my cat Alexstrasza.

I have always been the person who falls down rabbit holes. One minute I am reading about a mysterious set of footprints that appeared overnight in Victorian England, and the next I am researching an unusual historical event, experimenting with a new recipe, or learning entirely too much about a strange rock I found. Cerebral Snacks grew out of that curiosity and my love of sharing the fascinating things I discover along the way.

This is a space for the wonderfully inquisitive: the people who enjoy a good mystery, appreciate a spooky story, love learning something unexpected, and are not afraid to explore the slightly unusual side of life. Through podcasts, blog posts, recipes, and other creative projects, I hope to give you something interesting to think about; a little snack for your brain.

Cerebral Snacks is also home to Sara’s Bloody Seasoning, my small-batch cocktail and food seasoning created in Wichita, Kansas. What began as a flavorful addition to a Bloody Mary quickly became an all-purpose blend that can be used on everything from eggs and vegetables to soups, dips, and dinner recipes. Because around here, even your snacks should be interesting.
